Campus
Our summer school takes place at Askham Bryan College’s York Campus, set in a peaceful countryside location yet only 8 km from the vibrant and historic city centre of York. The York campus was originally built in 1936 and has a good range of facilities including ensuite & standard accommodation, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, dining room, students’ union, extensive grounds and even its own wildlife park. The programme includes 3 half day excursions per week by private coach, two of which are to York.
Centre capacity: approximately 200 students
Accommodation
- Single ensuite accommodation in 3 halls of residence (63 bedrooms per hall) . Shared kitchen & separate lounge on each floor
- Single standard accommodation in 5 houses (10 bedrooms per house). Washbasins in each bedroom and shared bathrooms. Shower ratio 1:5
- Rooms cleaned and bed linen & towel changed once per week. Bedroom key, bed linen and one towel provided
- Damage deposit of £40 taken on check-in and refunded on departure
